GOLD BAR, Wash. (AP) -- Residents of Gold Bar have been told the water is safe to drink without boiling.
The state Health Department says tests results came back Friday satisfactory.
A water main break on Wednesday night -- apparently caused by a tree root -- left Gold Bar dry on Thanksgiving.
Residents had been advised to boil drinking water as a precaution after repairs were made and the lines were flushed.
Gold Bar provides drinking water to about 2,200 residents along Highway 2 east of Monroe.
