While state Rep. Jim Moeller, D-Vancouver, attempts to repeal the Defense of Marriage Act by introducing a bill to legalize same-sex marriage, most Americans don’t agree and for this compelling reason: They understand that marriage is the union of a man and a woman and that redefining it will inevitably lead to rejecting the truth that children need a mother and a father. We need to protect the children.
