High waves force Victoria Clipper to turn back

SEATTLE (AP) -- High waves forced a Seattle-bound Victoria Clipper to turn back to port on Thanksgiving Day.

KOMO News reports (http://bit.ly/vrFTqI) the vessel had just left Victoria, British Columbia when it encountered waves as high as 7 feet. The crew then decided to turn back as a precaution.

The company arranged for alternative modes of transportation for its passengers, but their return trip to Seattle was delayed by hours.
