Letter: Measure school needs in February

The Columbian
Published: November 26, 2011, 4:00pm

As a resident of Ridgefield for nearly a decade, I strongly support the bond measure request from the Ridgefield school district and I encourage you to do the same. The Ridgefield School Board has carefully and thoughtfully led the effort to develop a targeted capital improvement plan that will meet the present and short-term needs of our school facilities.

As community members and parents, investing in our schools to provide an environment that fosters learning and educational development for our children should be an easy decision for us all. Current school facilities are overstressed with too many children and limit/impair the curriculum opportunities currently offered to the students.

Please join me in supporting the Feb. 14 bond vote that will update and modernize our school facilities.
