Man's death in Forest Grove, Ore., is homicide
Sunday, November 27, 2011
FOREST GROVE, Ore. (AP) -- Police now say a 63-year-old Forest Grove, Ore., man found dead in his home was a homicide victim.
Neither Forest Grove police spokesman Capt. Mike Herb nor the state medical examiner's office was willing to specify the cause of death beyond "homicidal violence" after an autopsy Monday on Raymond Faulk. Police earlier termed the death suspicious.
Herb told The Oregonian that detectives have no suspects but there's nothing to indicate the public is at risk.
Police were called to the man's home on Sunday to check on him. Herb says a friend called police to say he hadn't heard from Faulk in several days.
Herb says detectives are working to determine how long Faulk had been dead.
Forest Grove is west of Portland.
