McKie, Harris lead Wake Forest past Texas Tech

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (AP) — Travis McKie and C.J Harris each had 20 points to help Wake Forest beat Texas Tech 70-61 at the Old Spice Classic on Sunday.

Tony Chennault added 14 points for Wake Forest (4-2), which ended the tourney 1-2.

Texas Tech (3-3) got 15 points from both Javarez Willis and Jaron Nash. The Red Raiders lost all three of their tournament games.

Texas Tech’s Ty Nurse, averaging 15.6 points, did not play in the first half and ended up pointless in the game. Teammate Jordan Tolbert played just five of the opening 20 minutes and finished with six points.

Wake Forest took a 45-28 on Chennault’s 3-point play with 15:40 to play.
