SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) — Wideout Braylon Edwards is among the San Francisco 49ers who are beat up heading into a week during which they hope to clinch the NFC West and their first playoff berth since 2002.

Edwards is nursing an injured shoulder — he declined to say which one — and also hasn’t returned to full speed or full strength since missing time earlier in the season with a right knee injury that required surgery.

Right guard Adam Snyder is nursing a strained left hamstring he hurt in Thursday’s 16-6 loss at Baltimore, but coach Jim Harbaugh declined to offer details because that would tip off Sunday’s opponent, St. Louis. Chilo Rachal played in Snyder’s place.

Fullback Bruce Miller says he has improved from a concussion that sidelined him against the Ravens.
