ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) — The Detroit Lions have signed running back Aaron Brown.

Detroit made the move Monday after putting Jahvid Best on injured reserve.

The Lions released Brown in September when they claimed running back Keiland Williams off waivers from Washington.

Detroit drafted Brown in the sixth round of the 2009 draft. He started twice and played in 15 games as a rookie, running for 131 yards and catching nine passes for 84 yards and a touchdown. Brown played six games last season.

Best was limited to six games this season because he had a second concussion this year on Oct. 16 against San Francisco.
