The Battle Ground City Council is hosting a community breakfast Saturday morning to raise money for the community food bank.

A sausage, eggs and pancakes breakfast will be served from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Battle Ground Community Center, 912 E. Main St. Attendees are asked to make a donation to the North County Community Food Bank’s Christmas Food Basket program.

With the donations, local officials are hoping to provide Christmas dinners for around 600 families, said Alex Reinhold, a Battle Ground councilman helping to organize the project.
