SEATTLE (AP) — Authorities say a departing light plane carrying two people crashed and struck an unoccupied aircraft at Seattle’s Boeing Field, but there were no reports of serious injury.

Airport spokeswoman Rochelle Ogershok said both planes caught fire in the crash Wednesday night.

She says the departing plane veered to the right and crashed, striking a parked aircraft that belonged to a package delivery service. Airport fire crews quickly extinguished the flames.

Seattle Fire Department spokesman Kyle Moore tells KIRO-TV that a man and woman aboard the departing plane were taken to a Seattle hospital with cuts and scratches.

They were described as a student pilot in his 20s and a female flight instructor in her early 30s.
