Letter: Hubris of Congress is a disgrace

The Columbian
Published: November 29, 2011, 4:00pm

So after several weeks of meetings, the supercommittee could not come to an agreement on cutting spending. Each side will blame the other, including President Obama, who will blame it all on the Republicans.

This is a perfect example of what is wrong with most members of Congress. This is a disgrace to all of America. I am sick of both sides blaming each other while they continue to reap the rewards and incentives of being in Congress.

They could care less about what has happened and continues to happen to the majority of Americans. They are supposed to work for us, but they are in it for themselves. I will not vote for any incumbent as we need to get rid of career politicians and we need to implement term limits.
