Drivers can expect nighttime lane and ramp closures in both directions of Interstates 5 and 205 in Salmon Creek this week.

The Washington State Department of Transportation said drivers should expect delays Wednesday through Friday and consider taking alternate routes.

WSDOT will fully close the northbound I-205 ramp to Northeast 134th Street from 11 p.m. Wednesday to 5 a.m. Thursday.

Crews will also close lanes on both directions of I-5 and I-205 between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. Wednesday through Friday.

Crews will be fixing pavement that was damaged in last week’s downpour. WSDOT said in a release that heavy rain filled cracks in the pavement surface and undermined the base level of the road. The pavement deteriorated quickly over the holiday weekend.

“With dry weather in the forecast this week, crews will be out in force to repair the road and return drivers to smooth pavement,” the release said.
