ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) — The Tampa Bay Rays have promoted Stan Boroski to bullpen coach, replacing Bobby Ramos.
Boroski filled in for Ramos for the final two months of last season while Ramos was ill. He held the position of assistant to the pitching coach for the past two years.
The Rays also announced Wednesday that the remainder of manager Joe Maddon’s staff — bench coach Dave Martinez, third base coach Tom Foley, first base coach George Hendrick, pitching coach Jim Hickey, hitting coach Derek Shelton and senior baseball adviser Don Zimmer — will return next season.
