Three Clark County health clinics will offer free HIV testing Thursday in honor of World AIDS Day.

The Vancouver NAACP has partnered with its national organization and the Act Against AIDS Leadership Initiative to offer the free tests.

This year marks 30 years since the HIV/AIDS epidemic began in the U.S. For the past few years, Clark County has had about 20 new cases of HIV each year. Currently, 430 people with HIV live in Clark County, said county public health director John Wiesman.

These local clinics will offer free walk-in testing while supplies last:

  • Clinica De Salud Familiar in Hazel Dell, 9102 N.E. Highway 99, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. 360-576-4140.
  • Planned Parenthood in Orchards, 5500 N.E. 109th Court Suite A, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. 1-888-576-7526.
  • Sea Mar Vancouver Medical Clinic, 7410 E. Delaware Lane, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 360-566-4402.
