BALTIMORE (AP) — Mike Mayhew rushed for 233 yards, including a 78-yard touchdown run, to lead North Carolina A&T to a 24-3 win over Morgan State on Saturday.

The Aggies (2-2, 1-0 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) never trailed after Mayhew’s rushing score in the first quarter. Mayhew, who had 26 carries, gained more yards on the ground than Morgan State’s total offense, which finished with 202 yards.

Lewis Kindle completed 10 of 21 passes for 144 yards, one touchdown and an interception for North Carolina A&T, which ended a two-game losing streak. Kindle connected with Larry Raper on a 47-yard passing score to give the Aggies a 17-3 lead in the second quarter.

North Carolina A&T’s ability to hold the Bears (2-3, 1-1) to 33 yards rushing forced their opponent to throw the football. But Morgan State quarterback Seth Higgins struggled, completing 22 of 40 passes for 169 yards and two interceptions.
