NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (AP) — Central Connecticut State turned the ball over four times in the second half, allowing Sacred Heart to clinch a 37-24 victory on Saturday.

Tim Little threw for 189 yards and three touchdowns for Sacred Heart (2-2, 1-1 Northeast Conference), and Greg Moore had 53 rushing yards and a score. Moore also caught four passes for 47 yards and a touchdown.

Central Connecticut State (2-3, 1-2) was led by Chris Tolbert’s 66 rushing yards.

The Pioneers tied the game at 21-21 midway through the third quarter on a 22-yard pass from Little to Rich Rossi. Juan Duque answered with a 42-yard kick that put the Blue Devils ahead, but the turnovers started piling up.

After Little connected with Robert Dim on a 50-yard touchdown pass on the second play of the fourth quarter, a Blue Devils fumble led to Chris Rogers’ 34-yard field goal that stretched the lead to 31-24.
