American Idol judges screen Portland performers

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- "American Idol" judges Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez, Randy Jackson and host Ryan Seacrest were in Portland over the weekend screening contestants for the next season.
The Oregonian reports (http://bit.ly/rkVQcK ) they held a news conference Sunday where one of the questions was about the "Keep Portland Weird" slogan.
Lopez said that would explain some of the performers they saw.
