Amtrak train hits, kills pedestrian in Woodburn

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- Police in Woodburn say a pedestrian was struck and killed Sunday by an Amtrak train.
KGW-TV (http://bit.ly/nSFuG5 ) reports a Coastal Starlight train was traveling south at 3:21 p.m. when it hit the man near 500 South Front Street in Woodburn.
The train carrying 219 passengers was traveling from Seattle to Los Angeles.
An Amtrak representative says no one on the train was injured.
The name of the victim had not been released by police as of early Sunday night.
