A house fire reported at 9 p.m. Sunday at 11317 N.E. 12th Ave. in Vancouver was under control at about 10 p.m.

No injuries were reported. Four residents were displaced and were set to receive assistance from the Red Cross, said Dawn Johnson, Fire District 6 public information officer.

The fire was contained in the home’s garage, destroying that part of the structure. There was smoke damage throughout the rest of the home.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The residents had built a fire in the fireplace, which is adjacent to the garage, but it was unknown late Sunday whether that was related to blaze.

About four engines from Fire District 6, an air rig and rehabilitation bus responded to the fire. Vancouver Fire Department provided back-up.
