Sunday, October 2, 2011
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- Portland police say a car prowl suspect who collapsed while being arrested was faking a medical condition.
The 45-year-old man spent just 15 minutes at a hospital Sunday before he was released and taken to jail.
Police responding to a car prowl had chased his car until it crashed into a wall. Officers found a stolen backpack.
As the suspect was being handcuffed, he went limp. Medical personnel took him to the hospital.
Police also say the car he was driving had been stolen.
