A 54-year old Washougal man was taken to a local hospital after his sport utility vehicle rolled over on Interstate 205 near the Burton Road underpass on Monday.
Richard Richardson was transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center with neck and shoulder pain, a state patrol release said.
Richardson was listed in satisfactory condition Monday afternoon, hospital spokesman Ken Cole said.
Richardson was driving south in the center lane of I-205 around 12:34 p.m. He started moving into the right lane when a tractor-trailer rig in front of him made the same lane change. When Richardson swerved to avoid the collision, the vehicle went off the roadway, rolled over and came to a rest on its top, state patrol said.
The crash was caused by an unsafe lane change, according to the state patrol. No citations were issued.
