A 19-year-old Vancouver man remained in critical condition after an auto crash Monday afternoon along a major route to the Oregon Coast.
Tyler Flowers, 19, of Vancouver was listed in critical condition at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center Tuesday morning, according to an Oregon State Police bulletin.
A passing motorist reported the crash around 2 p.m. Monday on Highway 26. The driver saw a two-door car run off the road near Elsie, Ore., travel 10 feet down an embankment and strike a tree, trapping Flowers inside.
Highway traffic was partially affected for about two hours, troopers said.
Astoria-based troopers are continuing to investigate. At the moment, they don’t know why the car went off the road, according to the news release.
