Police: woman hit by car was kicked out of bar

YAKIMA, Wash. (AP) -- Police in Yakima, Wash., say a 28-year-old woman hit by a car while trying to cross a street late at night had just been kicked out of a sports bar for being extremely intoxicated.
The Yakima Herald-Republic (http://bit.ly/qSXeSt) reports that police said Tuesday the woman was hospitalized in critical condition. Police did not release her name.
Officers note the woman was wearing dark clothing and it was raining when she was hit late Monday night.
The collision is under investigation. No charges have been filed against the driver, a 32-year-old Yakima man.
