Cascade Highlands — Ten volunteers learned proper pruning techniques as they wound their way through the Cascade Highlands neighborhood Sept. 22.
The volunteers, led by arborist John Buttrell, owner of Arborscape Ltd. Inc., pruned 33 young street trees in the hands-on workshop which was sponsored by Arborscape and Friends of Trees.
The workshop was part of TreeTalk, a series of free, all-about-trees, educational workshops, presented by Vancouver Urban Forestry, a division of the Department of Public Works.
