FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — Mark Sanchez has been knocked around all season by defenses and critics.

The New York Jets quarterback is coming off a miserable performance at Baltimore and vows to bounce back. He’ll certainly need to be a lot better Sunday, when the Jets (2-2) play the Patriots (3-1) in New England.

Sanchez says he gets plenty of support from teammates, but adds that part of his job is to come back after a bad game and “show these guys, ‘I’m the man. I don’t care what anybody says. I’m the man in this building.'”

Wide receiver Santonio Holmes was critical of Sanchez and the rest of the team after the Jets’ loss in Baltimore. Sanchez says the players talked and agreed those types of comments will be kept in house.
