No injuries in 2-alarm downtown Everett fire

EVERETT, Wash. (AP) — Occupants were evacuated from three street-level businesses and two floors of apartments Wednesday as smoke filled the historic Strand Hotel building in downtown Everett.

The fire went to two alarms because of the smoke.

Firefighters cut holes in the roof and extinguished the fire. No one was injured.
