EVERETT, Wash. (AP) — Kimberly-Clark says it’s in talks to sell its pulp and paper mills in Everett where 750 employees will lose their jobs if no buyer is found.

Company spokesman Bob Brand told The Daily Herald (http://bit.ly/oQNCqw ) that Atlas Holdings is a strong candidate with extensive industry experience. The Greenwich, Conn., company has 5,000 employees at 10 companies, including Finch Paper, which has a pulp and paper operation in New York.

Kimberly-Clark warned Everett employees last summer the mills could shut down early next year. A mill has been on the Everett waterfront for 80 years.
