Young Marine spends 75 hours volunteering

Robert LeVasseur, 12, volunteered more than 75 hours for the Vancouver-Clark Parks and Recreation counting park users and compiling months of data for Fir Garden and Burnt Bridge Elementary School Park.

Burnt Bridge Creek — Robert LeVasseur, 12, a member of the Young Marines, put in more than 75 volunteer hours this summer with Vancouver-Clark Parks and Recreation. Besides participating in a small pilot project counting park users, Robert showed exceptional leadership and organization compiling months of data from Fir Garden and Burnt Bridge Elementary School Parks. Nastassja Pace, volunteer coordinator for the parks department, says LeVasseur is “one of our most dedicated volunteers.”
