FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Tyler Wilson made a name for himself with last season’s 332-yard, four-touchdown effort off the bench against Auburn.
The Arkansas quarterback heads into Saturday’s rematch with the Tigers fresh off a school-record 510-yard passing day and full of confidence as the Razorbacks seek their first Southeastern Conference win of the season.
Arkansas (4-1, 0-1 SEC) rallied from an 18-point halftime deficit against Texas A&M last week to win 42-38, largely thanks to Wilson. This time a year ago, the junior was an unknown commodity outside the state before filing in for an injured Ryan Mallett against Auburn.
Wilson led Arkansas to a fourth-quarter lead before the Razorbacks faltered to the eventual national champion Tigers (4-1, 2-0), who are well aware of Wilson now.
