Man, shot in Portland, surfaces at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center

PORTLAND POLICE INVESTIGATING SHOOTING IN NORTHEAST PORTLAND

This afternoon, Thursday October 6, 2011, at 12:39 p.m., Portland Police officers assigned to North Precinct responded to the report of a person shot in the area of Northeast 120th Avenue and Shaver Street. As officers were enroute, additional information was received that the 9-1-1 caller was refusing to provide information but would only say that her boyfriend had been shot. Officers arrived in the area but did not locate a crime scene or any victims.

Approximately an hour later, the 29-year-old male victim walked into the Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver, Washington, suffering from multiple non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Officers were able to determine that the shooting occurred at a residence in the 4600 block of Northeast 112th Avenue.

No suspect information is available at this time and the shooting is under investigation.
