PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — The Occupy Wall Street movement has drawn protesters in Eugene and Corvallis as well as Portland.
While thousands marched Thursday through the streets of Portland, several Willamette Valley cities drew smaller crowds. Protesters have varied causes, but many are concerned about unemployment and economic inequality.
KEZI reports that about 75 people gathered outside a Bank of America building in Eugene.
In downtown Corvallis, the Gazette-Times says more than 60 people showed up outside that Bank of America branch. Many carried homemade signs with such sentiments as “Regulate Greed” and “We Bailed You Out, Now It’s Your Turn.”
