PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Portland Mayor Sam Adams is asking bureau directors to prepare for budget cuts of as much as 8 percent in the 2012-2013 budget.
It would be the fourth straight year of budget reductions.
The Oregonian reports (http://bit.ly/nIjGJ3) some at City Hall are bracing for possible closings of fire stations, recreation centers or pools and the elimination of services such as rental inspections, graffiti abatement and emergency housing assistance.
