EVERETT, Wash. (AP) — Two daughters of a slain Everett, Wash., woman say their stepfather had hoped a visit from his son and the son’s girlfriend would help him reconnect with a young man who had spent much of his life in prison.
Now David Jones “Red” Pedersen is missing and considered endangered. His Jeep was found Friday in a rural Oregon county contiguous to the one where the body of a slain 19-year-old Oregon man was found this week.
Leslie Pedersen, the mother of Lori Nemitz and Susan Ellis, was found fatally stabbed Sept. 28.
Police say Red Pedersen’s son, David Joseph Pedersen, and his girlfriend Holly Grigsby are suspects in the deaths of Leslie Pedersen and Cody Myers of Oregon. Arrested in California, the couple pleaded not guilty Friday to weapons possession and vehicle theft.
