The American Dream Coalition and Vancouver-based U.S. Digital will host a free public forum on the Columbia River Crossing project and light rail this Saturday.

Speakers at the event will include a local accountant and transportation experts, according to organizers. Presentations will explore the financial costs, tolls and local effects of a new span connecting Washington and Oregon.

The more than $3 billion CRC project includes a new Interstate 5 bridge, freeway improvements on both sides of the Columbia River and extension of Portland’s light rail system into Vancouver.

Saturday’s event is scheduled to run from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at LifePoint Church, 305 N.E. 192nd Ave. in Vancouver.
