SALEM, Ore. (AP) — After a four-hour standoff, Salem police talked a man reported to be armed into leaving his trailer home and surrendering.

The Statesman Journal reported (http://bit.ly/o6Ohpd) reported the 38-year-old man has a history of mental illness and convictions for firearms, robbery and assault charges.

There were no injuries, and nobody appeared to be in the home with the man.
