ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — Dan Di Lella threw for two touchdowns and Albany shut out Duquesne in the first half en route to a 38-10 win on Saturday.

Di Lella was 19 of 25 through the air with 176 yards and also added 90 yards rushing for the Great Danes (3-2, 2-0 Northeast Conference). Drew Smith had 101 yards on 23 carries for Albany.

A 1-yard TD run from Smith and another from Dillon Romain, as well as a 1-yard connection between Di Lella and Paul Booker, helped Albany to a 24-0 halftime lead.

Duquesne (4-2, 2-1) scored the next 10 points to get back in it, but Di Lella’s 8-yard touchdown to Cole King was one of two Albany TDs in the fourth quarter to seal the win.

Sean Patterson was 15 of 24 for 144 yards with a touchdown and three interceptions for the Dukes, who turned the ball over five times.
