Kelso 20, Evergreen 7

Taylor Radcliffe scored three touchdowns, including two in the fourth quarter as the host Hilanders rallied to beat the winless Plainsmen.

Jamaree Jones scored in the first quarter, giving Evergreen a 7-0 lead.

Radliffe responded with a 61-yard touchdown run, but Kelso missed the extra point.

Defenses ruled the next two quarters as Evergreen took that one-point lead into the final period.

“It just took a little while for us to get started,” Kelso junior Andrew Almquist told the Daily News of Longview.

Almquist had a key 20-yard reception on the go-ahead drive, then he recovered an Evergreen fumble on the next possession.

Radcliffe finished with 130 yards on 10 carries for Kelso.

Jones finished with 116 yards on 21 carries for the Plainsmen.
