MILWAUKEE (AP) — The St. Louis Cardinals have added right-handers Kyle McClellan and Lance Lynn to their NL championship series roster to face the Milwaukee Brewers.
To make room for the additions, the Cardinals removed right-hander Jake Westbrook and utilityman Skip Schumaker.
McClellan moved from a starter to reliever this season. Even though he’s right-handed, McClellan is strong against lefties, allowing just a .206 average.
Lynn had been out since early August because of a strained oblique, but had a 2.22 ERA over 16 relief appearances.
