OCEANPORT, N.J. (AP) — Hermosillo held off Afleet Again by a half-length in the closing strides Sunday in the $48,000 allowance feature at Monmouth Park.
Trained by Stephen DiMauro and ridden by Chuck C. Lopez, the 7-year-old Hermosillo ran 1 1/16 miles over a fast track in 1:43 3-5 and paid $7.20, $3.40 and $2.60 for his 10th career victory and seventh at Monmouth.
Afleet Again returned $3.40 and $3, and At the Disco paid $6.40 to show.
