Home Sweet Aspens wins 1st stakes at Santa Anita

ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) -- Home Sweet Aspen beat Mildly Offensive by 214 lengths Sunday in the $67,490 Louis R. Rowan Stakes for fillies and mares at Santa Anita.

Ridden by Joel Rosario, Home Sweet Aspen ran 612 furlongs in 1:15.00 for her first stakes victory. The 3-year-old filly is owned by diet maven Jenny Craig.

Home Sweet Aspen paid $4.20, $2.60 and $2.20. Mildly Offensive returned $3 and $2.60, and Madera Castana was another two lengths back in third and paid $4 to show.

The victory, worth $40,050, increased Home Sweet Aspen's career total to $157,822, with three wins in six starts.

Rosario won three races on the card.
