Bloody clothes, stolen credit cards found

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- Authorities have recovered bloody clothing, a knife and stolen credit cards in their investigation of a couple accused of going on a killing spree across the Pacific Northwest that left four people dead.

An affidavit filed in Washington state shows that on Sept. 29 police found a backpack inside a garbage can in Corvallis, Ore. Inside the backpack were three credit cards belonging to David "Red" Pedersen and one to his wife, Leslie Pedersen. Bloody clothing and a knife were also in the backpack.

"Red" Pedersen's son, David "Joey" Pedersen, and the younger Pedersen's girlfriend, Holly Grigsby, are suspects in the killing of the elder Pedersen, of Leslie Pedersen and of two other people before their arrest last week in California.
