SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — Spokane police believe a man shot a woman in the head inside a Spokane apartment Monday before killing himself in the alley outside.
Officer Jennifer DeRuwe says the woman was conscious when she was found and able to tell police what happened. She is in stable condition at a local hospital.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. DeRuwe says he shot himself in the head.
DeRuwe says the two knew each other but it was unclear how they were connected. The shooting happened around noon.
