Emergency repairs at two locations of Interstate 5 could cause long delays during the Tuesday afternoon commute, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
Crews will repair damaged pavement on northbound I-5 at the Interstate 205 junction, reducing I-5 to a single lane going north. Workers will also repair pavement on I-5 south near Woodland. There, "rolling slowdowns" will move traffic through while the work continues.
Repairs are expected to be finished by 6 p.m. Tuesday, according to WSDOT. Officials encouraged drivers to give themselves extra time if they need to reach a destination, or take an alternate route.
