SALEM, Ore. (AP) -- The Oregon Employment Department says a computer problem will delay payment of unemployment insurance benefits to about 105,000 people for a day.
The department said in a statement that number consists of people who continued their claims on Sunday or Monday.
Spokesman Tom Fuller says a computer upgrade had unintended consequences, and the claims processing run failed. He says the problem has been fixed, and all the claims are expected to be processed Tuesday night.
The department says it's hoping recipients won't call about the timing of their payments.
