VanMall — Larry James Taylor won the $1,200 first-place prize in the 2011 Southwest Washington’s Got Talent Contest put on by the Vancouver Sunrise Rotary. Robert Head won the $800 second prize and Krista Chase took third place, winning $400. The finals took place at the Vancouver Sausage Festival on Sept. 11. Proceeds from the event are used for community projects, scholarships and Santa’s Posse.
