Waterford at Fairway Village is changing its name to Touchmark at Fairway Village.
To mark the new moniker, it will hold an autumn celebration from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Traditional Oktoberfest hors d’ouevres, beer, wine and nonalcoholic sparkling cider will be served, and the Hans Schmidt band will perform. There’s no charge to attend the public event at 2911 S.E. Village Loop in Vancouver.
The retirement community opened in 1998 and is home to more than 250 people.
