6 killed in Southern California salon shooting

SEAL BEACH, Calif. (AP) -- Southern California authorities say six people have been killed and three wounded in a shooting at a hair salon in the city of Seal Beach.

Police Sgt. Steve Bowles tells KCAL-TV that there are six confirmed dead and the other three victims are in critical condition after the Wednesday afternoon shooting.

Police arrested a man in a traffic stop a half-mile from the shooting scene and he was taken into custody. Bowles says multiple weapons were seized.

The shooting occurred in a cluster of small businesses on Pacific Coast Highway in the community southeast of Los Angeles.
