WATERVILLE, Wash. (AP) — The Douglas County sheriff’s office says deputies have arrested a man on suspicious of murder in the death of a woman whose body was found Saturday near Bridgeport.

The two had lived together in Omak. Investigators believe 45-year-old Benjamin R. Bridges beat 59-year-old Vickey Lee Renner to death with a rock Oct. 4 and left her body down an embankment.

The Wenatchee World reports (http://bit.ly/nrqUHG ) she suffered a broken skull and neck. She was identified with the help of her name on her dentures.

Detectives went to Omak Tuesday to question Bridges and made the arrest. They turned the case over to the Okanogan County sheriff’s office because the killing apparently took place in that county.
