PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — The National Earthquake Information Center in Golden, Colo., reports an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.9 Wednesday night about 140 miles off the southern Oregon coast.
Geophysicist Rafael Abreu (Ab-RAYO) says there is no danger of a tsunami. The quake was felt by residents in southern Oregon and as far north as Portland, as well as by some residents in northern California. There are no reports of damage.
