OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) — Baltimore Ravens fullback Vanta Leach can seem to get a handle on the way he’s supposed to feel about facing his former teammates on the Houston Texans.
Leach spent five years in Houston before signing in August with Baltimore as a free agent. On Sunday, when the Ravens host the Texans, Leach will go up against several players with whom he forged tight friendships.
Leach says the reunion will probably be “fun and weird.” But he adds, “I want to win, and when the game starts, it’s on.”
In Houston last year, Leach helped Arian Foster amass an NFL-high 1,616 yards rushing. Leach now is opening holes for Ray Rice, who did everything but throw a party when Baltimore signed the 6-foot, 260-pound wrecking ball.
